Katy ISD Needs YOU!!Katy ISD Needs YOU!!2017-03-29T14:59:41Z<div class="ExternalClass8CA8D995962A4EE2B19F387F10FFBE63"><p>​<strong style="text-align:center;">Community Input Sought at </strong><strong style="text-align:center;">Last Two Education Summits</strong></p><p><span style="text-align:justify;">Katy ISD has launched a strategic design process to create a community-inspired road map for its schools over the next three to five years.</span><span style="text-align:justify;">  </span><span style="text-align:justify;">Recently, a series of stakeholder meetings were held to gather baseline data from parents, business leaders, principals, teachers, clergy and students on where the District is currently and where the community hopes for the District to be in the near future.</span><span style="text-align:justify;">  </span><span style="text-align:justify;">Katy ISD will host the last two education summits to provide the community an opportunity to share their highest hopes and aspirations for their children. Though we are still in the early stages of its development, one thing is for sure, this community-inspired road map for Katy ISD wouldn't be complete without your input on where we're at as a district and where you hope for us to be in the near future. </p><p>There are two ways you can get involved:</p><ol style="list-style-type:decimal;"><li>Participate in our <a href="https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KISD-SD"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">online survey</span></a>, available March 21-31, 2017</li><li>Or attend one of our community-wide education summits (Dates and times below)</li></ol><p><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Wednesday, March 22</strong></span></p><p>Location:        Education Support Complex<br>                             6301 S. Federal Programs Public MeetingFederal Programs Public Meeting2017-03-20T16:02:54Z<div class="ExternalClass5F074ABF5A754E0BBBB1C642318B3392"><p>A public meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at the ESC in Room 1200BCG. This public meeting will address ESEA Title I, Title II, Title III, IDEA B Special Education, High School Accelerated Instruction and Carl D. Perkins CTE programs as implemented in the 2016-2017 school year and as proposed for 2017-2018 school year. The staff and the public are invited to comment on these programs. A written statement for the record must accompany all comments made. In addition, parent and teacher surveys have been created to gather input on these programs.
