The Technology Maintenance Window is scheduled on Wednesday evenings beginning at 5:00PM and continuing through 6:30AM on Thursday. Users of Katy ISD technology services should not plan events that require use of technology systems during this window.
Some unplanned outages may occur at other times if there are business critical systems involved or if there are issues that must be addressed quickly. Technology makes every attempt to limit these types of outages to times that will not impact student learning, campus activities, or District events. Whenever possible, users are notified of these outages via email. If email is unavailable, an announcement will be posted on this website and a message will be recorded on the Technology Support Center phone line.
An outage temporarily interrupts access to technology services. Outages are planned to provide ongoing maintenance and upgrades to servers, the network and applications in an effort to continually bring a high level of service to students, teachers and staff. Katy ISD staff is notified in advance of planned outages. When possible, outages occur during the Technology Maintenance Window.
