Katy ISD Legislative Priorities

The Texas Legislative Session will see debate and discussion on education funding, accountability, local government, and other matters impacting our schools and community.  Numerous bills affecting public education could be potentially passed during the session.

The Katy ISD Board of Trustees, staff, and community welcome communication with our state representatives. By offering a set of legislative priorities, we hope to provide guidance and feedback on education issues impacting students in the District and statewide.
